Front-End Engineer (React)

Apply

Quanloop is building and running a security‑sensitive investment platform. We are hiring multiple Front-End Engineers (React) in Budapest to build and evolve the web UI and ship user-facing features with predictable behaviour and clean integration.

Your home office is Budapest and the role is office‑first.

This is a React-focused engineering role. You will work closely with Back-End Engineers (Java) and UI Developers (HTML/CSS) to deliver complete features without unnecessary handoffs.

Role snapshot

  • Working model: Office‑first (on‑site).
  • Hiring basis: Local hiring for the Budapest office location.
  • Onboarding: Budapest is the home office.
  • Language: English‑first working language.
  • Reporting line: You report to a Tech Lead; Tech Leads report into Head of Engineering and/or the CTO.

What you’ll be responsible for

  • Build and maintain React UI for product features and workflows.
  • Integrate UI with backend APIs and handle edge cases cleanly.
  • Work with UI Developers (HTML/CSS) on implementation details, consistency and accessibility basics.
  • Keep UI code maintainable: clear structure, reviewable changes and predictable behaviour.
  • Partner with Product Owner and QA on scope, acceptance criteria and release readiness.
  • Collaborate with Infrastructure on constraints that affect front-end delivery (performance, operational readiness, and safe change).
  • Contribute to practical documentation and written decisions where it helps teams move.

What success looks like in the first 3–6 months

  • You ship UI changes that are stable, readable and easy to extend.
  • Integrations with backend services become smoother and more predictable, with fewer avoidable regressions.
  • Delivery coordination improves through clearer ownership and cleaner handovers across front-end, back-end and UI implementation work.

What we’re looking for

  • Strong commercial experience building production React applications.
  • Comfortable integrating UI with APIs and handling real-world complexity (not toy examples).
  • Solid HTML/CSS fundamentals (you don’t need to be the HTML/CSS specialist, but you must understand the basics).
  • Comfortable with code review and shared engineering standards.
  • Fintech or regulated/high‑scrutiny environment experience is preferred.
  • Clear written and spoken communication in English.
  • Comfortable working on site with a team.

Growth opportunity

Some senior hires with both Java and React experience may take on technical leadership scope within delivery teams.
