Quanloop is building and running a security‑sensitive investment platform. We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer to take ownership of quality assurance strategy across complex products and services at Quanloop.

This is a senior individual contributor role with no people management responsibility. We are looking for someone who can go beyond individual test cases or a single testing layer, understand complex microservice-based systems, and design and grow effective testing strategies across complete business and technical flows.

You will work closely with Engineering, Architecture, Product, DevOps/SRE, and other stakeholders to build quality into the delivery process.

What You’ll Be Responsible for

Define testing strategies for features, services, and complex business flows.
Design risk-based testing approaches across APIs, integrations, microservices, and system boundaries.
Determine the right combination of integration, contract, E2E, regression, exploratory, performance, resilience, automated, and manual testing.
Identify critical paths, dependencies, edge cases, failure scenarios, and quality risks across distributed systems.
Help define what should be automated, at which level, and how automated testing should integrate into CI/CD.
Use AI-assisted testing as part of your everyday QA workflow, including areas such as test design and generation, edge-case discovery, exploratory testing, automation, failure and log analysis, and test maintenance.
Work closely with engineers and architects to improve testability and address quality risks early in the development process.
Communicate testing confidence, remaining risks, and release implications clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Challenge requirements, technical approaches, and release decisions when quality risks require it, while being open to challenge and alternative views.
Support appropriate testing traceability, documentation, and evidence in a regulated environment.

What We’re Looking For

Strong senior-level QA / Quality Engineering experience.
Strong technical understanding of distributed and microservice-based systems.
Experience designing testing strategies, not only executing predefined test plans.
Strong experience with API, integration, and end-to-end testing.
Practical test automation experience and a good understanding of automation frameworks.
Good understanding of CI/CD and modern software delivery practices.
Ability to investigate complex failures across multiple services and dependencies.
Hands-on experience with AI-assisted testing is required. You should already be using AI tools as a meaningful part of your QA workflow.
Strong risk-based thinking and problem-solving skills.
Ability to cooperate with and influence engineers, architects, Product, and other stakeholders without formal authority.
Strong stakeholder expectation management and communication skills.
Professional working English.
Experience in fintech, financial services, or another regulated environment is an advantage.

What This Role is Not

This is not a people management role.
It is not focused primarily on unit testing, manual test execution, or producing automation coverage for its own sake.
