Quanloop is building and running a security‑sensitive investment platform. We are hiring Product Owners in Budapest to drive delivery of fintech workflows from business requirements through to shipped outcomes, working closely with engineering and operations.
This is an office‑first role based in Budapest.
In our setup, business requirements come from stakeholders/owners. Your job is to translate those requirements into executable scope, align delivery across teams, and keep outcomes predictable.
Role snapshot
- Working model: Office‑first (on‑site).
- Hiring basis: Local hiring for the Budapest office location.
- Language: English‑first working language.
- Reporting line: You report to the Head of Engineering and/or the CTO.
What you’ll be responsible for
- Own delivery scope for defined workstreams: clarify requirements, define acceptance criteria, and keep priorities explicit.
- Translate stakeholder requirements into structured backlogs and release plans that engineers and QA can execute.
- Drive alignment across Back-End, Front-End, UI, QA and Infrastructure dependencies without creating unnecessary friction.
- Keep delivery predictable by making trade-offs explicit and decisions written and visible.
- Partner with Client Operations and Risk and Compliance to ensure workflows reflect operational and control constraints where relevant.
- Lead planning ceremonies and day-to-day delivery coordination together with Scrum Masters and Tech Leads.
- Monitor delivery progress, unblock issues early, and keep stakeholders informed with clear status and risks.
- Contribute to improving delivery standards as the Budapest hub scales.
What success looks like in the first 3–6 months
- Requirements are translated into executable scope with fewer late changes and less rework.
- Delivery becomes more predictable: clearer ownership, cleaner handovers, and better cross-team coordination.
- Stakeholders trust the cadence and the clarity of trade-offs, even when priorities shift.
What we’re looking for
- Proven experience delivering fintech products or workflows; you must be able to demonstrate domain understanding in practice.
- Strong delivery product ownership skills: acceptance criteria, prioritisation, release planning and stakeholder management.
- Comfortable working with cross-functional engineering teams and process discipline (written decisions, clear standards).
- Clear written and spoken communication in English.
- Comfortable working on site with a team.
