Quanloop is building and running a security‑sensitive investment platform. We are hiring an MLRO in Limassol to own AML/CFT governance and oversight in a firm that is pending authorisation as an investment firm.
This is an office‑first role based in Limassol and is hired locally. AML execution sits in Client Operations; the MLRO role focuses on governance, oversight, escalation, and ensuring the AML framework is workable and effective in practice.

What you’ll be responsible for
- Own AML/CFT governance and oversight, including policies, risk methodology, escalation paths and reporting routines.
- Ensure AML standards are clear and operationally workable for Client Operations to execute day to day.
- Oversee AML-related training and awareness requirements and keep records organised and traceable.
- Review AML control performance and drive follow-ups when issues, gaps or patterns emerge.
- Support suspicious activity escalation and reporting governance, ensuring decisions are documented clearly.
- Partner with Client Operations leadership on workflow discipline, case quality and operational consistency.
- Partner with Compliance and Risk teams on regulatory readiness and governance routines.
- Escalate material AML risks appropriately, including to governance bodies where required.
What success looks like in the first 3–6 months
- AML governance is clear, usable and consistently applied by Operations.
- Escalation and reporting routines run predictably, with clear records and ownership.
- AML control gaps are identified earlier and addressed through practical improvements, not paperwork.
What we’re looking for
- CySEC AML Certificate is required (evidence required).
- CySEC Advanced Certificate is preferred (evidence required if held).
- Strong experience in AML/CFT governance roles within financial services or other high‑scrutiny environments.
- Practical judgement and ability to make clear, defensible decisions under scrutiny.
- Strong documentation discipline and clear written communication in English.
- Comfortable working on site in Limassol.
