Quanloop is building and running a security-sensitive investment platform. We are hiring a Cloud Platform Engineer in Budapest to support the design, build, and ongoing development of the cloud platform that underpins our production environment.
This role sits within the Infrastructure Unit and focuses on the core cloud foundations used by engineering teams and production services. You will work closely with the Head of Infrastructure, Site Reliability Engineer, DevOps Engineer, Cloud Network Engineer, and Security colleagues to ensure the platform remains stable, scalable, and practical to operate in a regulated setting.

- Operational support: Occasional after-hours support may be required where platform changes or production issues need follow-up.
What you’ll be responsible for
- Build, maintain, and improve the core cloud platform used to run production systems and support engineering teams.
- Develop and manage infrastructure components, platform tooling, and shared technical foundations across the cloud environment.
- Help ensure the platform is structured in a way that is stable, scalable, and supportable over time.
- Work with Engineering, SRE, and DevOps colleagues to improve how services are deployed, run, and maintained in production.
- Support platform-level automation and standardisation to reduce fragile manual work and improve consistency across environments.
- Contribute to production readiness by ensuring platform changes are introduced in a controlled and operationally sensible way.
- Work with Security colleagues to support platform controls, secure configurations, and practical implementation of technical requirements.
- Maintain clear technical documentation around platform setup, dependencies, and operating practices.
What success looks like in the first 3–6 months
- The cloud platform becomes easier to maintain, extend, and support across production use cases.
- Common platform tasks are better standardised and less dependent on one-off manual fixes.
- Engineering teams have a more stable and predictable platform foundation for running services.
- Platform risks, limitations, and dependencies are more clearly documented and easier to work with.
- Collaboration across Infrastructure and Engineering improves around platform changes and production readiness.
What we’re looking for
- Strong experience in cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, or production-focused infrastructure roles.
- Hands-on experience building and maintaining cloud-based environments used by engineering teams and production systems.
- Comfortable working with infrastructure automation, shared platform components, and operational tooling.
- Good understanding of how cloud platform design affects reliability, scalability, and supportability in practice.
- Able to work across infrastructure, engineering, and security concerns without losing sight of operational reality.
- Clear written and spoken English, including the ability to document technical setups and decisions clearly.
- Comfortable working on site as part of an office-first team.
